iCloud Notes, Reminders, Calendar, Contacts, Drive and Photos as real desktop apps on Linux and Windows, with an offline local library.
Skykeep brings six iCloud services — Notes, Reminders, Calendar, Contacts, iCloud Drive and Photos — to Linux and Windows as real desktop apps. A Rust engine with a Tauri interface keeps a local SQLite library on your machine, so windows read local data instead of waiting on the network; edits go into an outbox and sync when you are back online. Sign-in uses your Apple Account through Apple's SRP protocol (the password is not sent over the wire), with Apple's own two-factor approval; the session is kept in the system keyring. Skykeep is an independent third-party client, not an Apple product. On Linux, Drive and Photos also mount as folders through FUSE; Windows folder mounts are listed as future work.
Skykeep is GPL-3.0 and packaged properly: .deb, .rpm, Flatpak, Snap, AUR and a Windows x64 installer, with SHA-256 checksums. The project is young (v0.1.6, November 2026).
